Greco's named one of
the top ten most romantic dining destination
for Valentine's day by Elite Magazine ~ February 2000
If charm is
what your after this Valentine's Day, plan a trip to
Greco's of Willow Springs. The rustic-looking eatery exudes a simple
elegance that easily sets the mood for a romantic supper.
Greco's, established in 1990 by Carmalee Greco Kipnis and Michele
Greco, offers a varied menu of Italian specialties and other entrees
that have long been a staple of the Greco family.
The kitchen is under the direction of executive chef Ed Hageline,
but Josie Greco, formerly of Greco's in Evergreen Park. works
side by side with other kitchen staff to prepare the family recipes.
Diners have there choice of three quaint and appealing rooms
in which to enjoy their meals.
The enclosed porch offers a view outside as well as a fireplace,
white lights and other seasonal decorations.
Other options are the dimly lit bar area or the rear room which
contains a topiary section and overlooks the restaurant's patio.
The view during the winter, especially during a fresh snowfall,
can be quite picturesque.
Piped-in classic Italian songs play in the background during dinner.
For Valentine's Day, Greco Kipnis promises old fashioned love songs.

Greco's of Willow Springs, has the ambiance of a cozy country in that serves
quality Italian cuisine. Greco's has large windows that overlook a forest
preserve so it's perfect for a romantic date or comfortable family meal.
Family owned and operated, the kitchen is doted with family members ,
including Mom who still creates some fabulous dishes. Greco's pounds its
veal so all veal dishes are popular items as well as seafood, which is cut
fresh on the premises. No frozen items are used in this restaurant.
At Greco's guests feel comfortable and have a quality meal.

Greco's motto is mangia bene (eat good) and that is exactly what you
will do when you go to this fine Italian restaurant which sits in the
perfect backdrop of the Archer Avenue forest preserves.
Although we
were promptly seated without reservations, we suggest
that you make reservations, especially on a Saturday night.
Freshly baked
crusty Italian bread was placed on our table and served
with herbed butter. We ordered glasses of the house Merlot and Chianti.
The Merlot was smooth and rich, and the Chianti was tart and
cleansing to the palate. As an Antipasto, we ordered the Calamari.
When the main
course arrived, the bountiful portions stunned us.
I had the Pasta Primavera, penne pasta tossed in a rich cream sauce.
This is an entree you won't want to miss. We would have liked to order
deserts but we were to satisfied to attempt another taste .
We will go
back and bring our friends too!

A visit to
Greco's gives patrons a delightful taste of
Southern Italy
Greco's of Willow Springs is a place where the comfortable and the
sophisticated meet.
The Chicago area abounds with restaurants that feature southern Italian
cusine, yet Greco's makes its own niche by presenting good food prepared
with a spark of originality.
Located in a house converted for the purpose, complete with fireplace
and a wedding picture on the mantle, it feels like eating at home.
In all, Greco's is a great place to go to feed a Southern Italian craving.
But it also offers surprises and details that make it a special place
all its own.
